Oven Fried Chicken Fingers

This is one of my sweet husband's FAVORITE recipes!  It's super cheap and easy to make!

1/2 cup Bisquick (or whatever brand baking mix)
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon paprika
1/4 teaspoon cumin
1/4 cup Parmesan cheese

Mix dry ingredients in a ziplock bag

Beat an egg in a shallow bowl
Dip the chicken in the egg then coat in Bisquick mixture (kinda like shake n bake)

Place strips on a WELL SPRAYED pan and drizzle top with a little melted butter.
Bake at 375 for about 8-10 minutes then flip strips (make sure they are well browned before flipping, you may have to cook a little longer before flipping depending on your oven; otherwise the coating will come off)
Bake another 8-10 minutes until both sides are browned and chicken is cooked through.

That's it... easy peasy lemon squeezy!!!

This post is being linked up to the Dishing It Up recipe hop.

  2. Ah! The egg and the bag. That is totally my problem! I just dredge and they come out chalky.

  3. Yes, Amanda! The egg and the butter are the keys to moist crust! Let me know how it turns out!
