This is one of my sweet husband's FAVORITE recipes! It's super cheap and easy to make!
1/2 cup Bisquick (or whatever brand baking mix)
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon paprika
1/4 teaspoon cumin
1/4 cup Parmesan cheese
Mix dry ingredients in a ziplock bag
Beat an egg in a shallow bowl
Dip the chicken in the egg then coat in Bisquick mixture (kinda like shake n bake)
Place strips on a WELL SPRAYED pan and drizzle top with a little melted butter.
Bake at 375 for about 8-10 minutes then flip strips (make sure they are well browned before flipping, you may have to cook a little longer before flipping depending on your oven; otherwise the coating will come off)
Bake another 8-10 minutes until both sides are browned and chicken is cooked through.
That's it... easy peasy lemon squeezy!!!

ReplyDeleteAh! The egg and the bag. That is totally my problem! I just dredge and they come out chalky.
ReplyDeleteYes, Amanda! The egg and the butter are the keys to moist crust! Let me know how it turns out!
